TrichoConcept | 2023 Growth factors in trichology: Mechanism of action and real-life experience of the ADECA group – Trichology and Annexes Vitiello A, Trischitta A, Gaudiello F, Pezza M, Russo I, Ceddia C, Villa L, Casula L, Ginepri A Journal of Plastic and Pathology Dermatology, 19 (3), 133-140 Telogen effluvium is a scalp disorder characterized by excessive and diffuse hair loss that is not associated with scarring. One of the goals for the treatment of telogen effluvium is to stop hair loss by reducing the percentage and the number of telogen hair in favor of anagen hair and lengthening the duration of this phase. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of daily administration of 1 ml of a galenic lotion based on bioidentical growth factors, latanoprost, NADPP (Nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate), every day for at least 5 months. The results indicate that a regression of telogen effluvium was achieved with a significant increase in hair regrowth and a strong decrease in hair loss in almost all treated patients. Syrspend SF | 2023 Compounding of liquid and solid dose adjustable formulations with Pantoprazole: Comparison of stability, applicability and suitability Todorović N, Čanji Panić J, Zavišić M, Krtolica J, Ratajac R, Petrović J, Bosiljčić D, Kladar N, Milošević N, Lalić-Popović M Pharmaceutics, 15(3), 717 The aim of this work was to examine and compare the characteristics of compounded liquid and solid dosage forms of pantoprazole. Three syrup bases were used: a sugar-free vehicle for oral solution, a vehicle with glucose and hydroxypropyl cellulose and a commercially available SyrSpend Alka base. According to our results, if liquid formulation is a pH adjusted syrup, it could be safely kept in a refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. Additionally, liquid formulations could be readily applied, while solid formulation should be mixed with appropriate vehicles with higher pH values. Read more SEE PRODUCT
NutriGen™ | 2023 Genetic variant panel allows predicting both obesity risk, and efficacy of procedures and diet in weight loss Mera-Charria A, Nieto-Lopez F, Francès MP, Arbex PM, Vila-Vecilla L, Russo V, Vicente Silva CC, De Souza GT Frontiers in Nutrition, 10 Obesity is a multifactorial condition with a relevant genetic correlation. Recent advances in genomic research have identified several single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in genes such as FTO, MCM6, HLA, and MC4R, associated with obesity. This study aimed to evaluate the association of 102 SNPs with BMI and weight loss treatment response in a multi-ethnic population. Read more SEE PRODUCT
ImunoTF | 2023 Transfer factors peptides (Imuno TF®) modulate the lung inflammation and airway remodeling in allergic asthma Oliveira CR, Carvalho J, Olímpio F, Vieira R, Aimbire I, Polonini HC Frontiers in Immunology, 13, 1030252 The equilibrium between cytokines as well as transcription factors associated to Th2, Th1, and Treg cells is compromised in allergic asthma. Imuno TF® is a food supplement with ability to interfere in immune system pathways. It has been previously demonstrated that Imuno TF® upregulated Th1 cell response whilst downregulated Th2 cell response in human lymphocytes. Read more SEE PRODUCT

The study showed that OrPhylloTM vehicle is suitable for compounding ODFs with APIs from different pharmacological classes, with good compatibility and fast disintegration. Read more
Syrspend SF | 2022 Development of a hospital compounded, taste-masked, Temozolomide oral suspension and 5-year real-life experience in treating pediatric patients Annereau M, Hinterlang M, Bienayme H, Vassal G, Pinon A, Schmitt M, Denis L, Lemarchand C, Martin L, Lemare F Pharmaceuticals, 15(5), 555 The present study was carried out to propose a suitable and palatable formulation of the oral liquid preparation of Temozolomide (TMZ). The suspension is composed of TMZ suspended in SyrSpend SF pH 4, as well as TMZ crystallization stabilizing agents and sweetening agents. TMZ suspension is stable for 6 weeks, stored between 2 and 8 degrees, protected from light, and compatible with nasogastric tubes. Thirty-eight patients participated in the palatability study and choose cola flavour, and 104 patients were treated in Gustave Roussy with the developed suspension; no unexpected event was reported. To conclude, we propose here a new TMZ liquid formulation which is stable for at least 6 weeks and well-tolerated with extensive feedback. Read more SEE PRODUCT
Pigmerise® Liposomal Cream | 2022 Evaluation of the effect of a topical cream containing piperine in inducing repigmentation combined with narrow band UVB phototherapy in patients with vitiligo Vidolin AP, Leone G Journal of Plastic and Pathology Dermatology, 18 (1), 13-22 Vitiligo is the most common acquired hypopigmentary disease in the community. Piperine as an herbal extract derived from black pepper has strong impact on the melanocyte proliferation and shows minore side effects as compared to synthetic drugs such as corticosteroids. the aim of this prospective study, was to compare the effectiveness of narrow-band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) phototherapy alone and in combination with topical piperine in the treatment of vitiligo. The conclusion was the application of piperine in combination with twice-weekly NB- UVB phototherapy is an effective alternative treatment for patients with generalized vitiligo.
