Lollibase® is a dry powdered base for producing sugar-free hard candy type lollipops for oral administration and absorption across the buccal mucosa.
Benefits of Lollibase®
Use of Lollibase® is accomplished easily by the addition of water. To achieve a hard candy dosage form, heat to 155˚C, then add citric acid, flavour, color (optional), and APIs. Pour the mixture into the Fagron lollipop mould and allow to harden fully at room temperature. Lollibase® can be stored at room temperature without becoming sticky or grainy.
Fagron also offers lollipop moulds, lollipop sticks, wrapping foil, coloring and flavoring to prepare this unique compounding solution.
